The Secretariat of the African Decade of Persons with Disabilities (SADPD) is requesting you to submit a tender for an assignment which involves organising a training programme for trainers who are either currently engaged in training programmes on disability matters, or are expected to be so in the near future. The overall objective of this assignment is to further develop the skills of some 40 trainers, in order to enable them to build capacity in DPOs, governments and other organisations that are engaged in disability work. The expected outputs from this assignment are: - 20 Anglophone trainers with good skills in the facilitation of capacity building in organisations that are engaged in disability matters. - 20 Francophone trainers with good skills in the facilitation of capacity building in organisations that are engaged in disability matters. - A report presenting the achievements and problems encountered during the consultancy. The report shall also contain recommendations on the way forward. The assignment will take place between 8 – 13 September 2008 for the Anglophone workshop will be conducted and from 24 to 29 November 2008 for the Francophone.
