Senior PRS Adviser

The Secretariat of the African Decade of Persons with Disabilities (SADPD) is seeking a full-time Senior Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS) Adviser to work at its Cape Town offices.

We need a dynamic and result-oriented individual with a minimum of five years experience from working at a senior level within the disability sector in Africa. You also need a minimum of two years work experience with PRS matters within the disability sector.

Essential skills for this position are – in addition to solid understanding of PRS processes - programme management, presentation, problem solving, M&E and report writing. In addition, you need good knowledge of the UN Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. You need to be fluent in English and preferably be able to communicate in Swahili. Excellent computer skills are also required. A relevant degree (social science, law, economy or alike) is required to meet our formal requirements.
